Prof. Dr. Nadine Kammerlander leads the Institute for Family Business and Mittelstand
(ifbm@WHU) as well as the Chair for Family Business at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of
Management. She also holds the role of Associate Dean for Diversity and Sustainability.
Previously, she was an assistant professor at the University of St. Gallen, where she
completed her habilitation. Prof. Dr. Nadine Kammerlander holds a degree in physics (TU Munich)
and a PhD in business administration (Otto Friedrich University Bamberg in cooperation with
IMD, Lausanne). She worked for several years at a leading strategy consulting firm, where
she primarily worked with international companies in the automotive and high-tech industries.
In addition to Switzerland and Germany, Prof. Dr. Nadine Kammerlander has also lived or worked in Sweden, Italy, the USA and Mexico.
Prof. Dr. Nadine Kammerlander is associate editor of the journals Family Business Review and Journal of Management and serves on the review board of several journals. Prof. Dr. Nadine Kammerlander’s research has been published in top-tier international journals and her research has received numerous national and international awards. Prof. Dr. Nadine Kammerlander is also on the board of the Research Institute of the Association of German Economists and Business Economists (bdvb e.V.), a member of the Innovation Advisory Committee of DESY and a member of the Commission for the Revision of the Governance Code for Family Businesses. She is also chairwoman of the Future Council for Sustainable Development in Rhineland-Palatinate. She brings practical experience through her own start-up experience as well as her status as a “Fellow” at the international association Family Firm Institute (FFI).
Since 2018, she has also been a member of Wirtschaftswoche’s “Best of Consulting” expert
panel. Prof. Dr. Nadine Kammerlander was recognized as a Top 10 Business Researcher by
Wirtschaftswoche in 2022 and as a Top 100 Global Family Influencer by Family Capital.
Prof. Dr. Monika Nadova Kroslakova is an Associate Professor and a member of the Senate at the Faculty of Commerce of the University of Economics in Bratislava. Additionally, she serves as the founder of the Family Business Centre and is a co-founder of the Network of Top Business Leaders and Researchers in The International Business and Economic Research Academy (IBERA). She holds the position of International Advisory Council Member/Director for partner engagement at the Institute of One World Leadership®. She is also a Wisdom Board Member of the Family Hippocampus Club and an Advisory Council Member of Asiatech Education. She is a guarantor of the subjects Family Business and Entrepreneurship, emphasizing sustainability, social responsibility, and fostering inclusion and diversity, and co-guarantor of two study programs at the university. Additionally, she co-owns the family-owned production company Novplasta Ltd (2nd gen.). Furthermore, she is appointed as an expert in the field of family business at the Slovak Business Agency and is a member of the working group at the Ministry of Economy of Slovakia for family business.

Prof. Dr. Lauren Cohen is the L.E. Simmons Professor in the Finance & Entrepreneurial Management Units at Harvard Business School and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is an Editor of the Review of Financial Studies, along with being a past Editor of Management Science. Prof. Dr. Lauren Cohen teaches in the MBA, Executive Education, and Doctoral Programs at the Harvard Business School. He is a Designer and Chair of theHarvardX Fintech course, along with the HBS Executive Education course Building a Legacy: Family Office Wealth Management.
Prof. Dr. Lauren Cohen frequently advises government organizations in the US and abroad, and his research has been published in the top journals in Finance and Economics. It is also frequently profiled in various media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. Prof. Dr. Lauren Cohen received a PhD in finance and an MBA from the University of Chicago in 2005. He earned dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania – a BSE from the Wharton School and a BA in economics from the College of Arts & Sciences in 2001. Prof. Dr. Panikkos Poutziouris

Prof. Dr. Panikkos Poutziouris is Professor of Entrepreneurial Management at EIMF and Honorary Fellow at University of Cambridge Judge Business School leading the Executive MBA module on Enterprising Families & Family Offices and supporting executive leadership training initiatives for private banks and their multi-generational family business clients and heirs. As an academic practitioner, Professor Poutziouris has been leading a number of teaching, training, research and consultancy initiatives across frontiers (namely UK, Italy, Russia, Egypt, Bulgaria, China, Greece, Cyprus etc) focusing on the entrepreneurial development of owner-managed family businesses across generations. He has served as an advisor–consultant for the Family Business Expert Group working for the European Commission, Directorate of Enterprise and Industry and for OECD on Entrepreneurship Policy. He is a Fellow and board member of the FFI-Family Firm Institute and former President of IFERA- International Family Enterprise Research Academy. He has been honoured by FFI – USA with the International Award for promoting family business entrepreneurship across frontiers.
Prof. Dr. Fabian Bernhard is a Professor of Management and part of the Family Business Center at EDHEC Business School in Paris, Lille, Nice and London. He is a research fellow for family business at the University of Mannheim and for psychology at the University of Frankfurt in Germany. Equipped with the insights from his own family’s business, Prof. Dr. Fabian Bernhard worked several years for a renowned financial consulting company in New York. In his academic work he specializes in the emotional dynamics in businesses, the preparation of next generational leaders, and the psychological attachment to the family business. His articles have been published in various academic and practitioner outlets as well as in the public media. Prof. Dr. Fabian Bernhard is a recipient of several honors and awards for his work on family businesses, such as the best dissertation honorable mention by FFI at Harvard University. Since 2014 he has been serving on the editorial boards of the Family Business Review (FBR) and the Journal of Family Business Strategy (JFBS).
